Our IT department offers technology support to Private’s Barcelona offices. We are currently looking to complement the team with a Helpdesk and System Administration officer, whose mission is, on one hand, to provide support for both PC and Mac users, while also providing back up for our main System Administrator.

Requirements:


·  Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures for PC and Macintosh troubleshooting, repair and installation.


·  3 to 5 years of experience administering systems and dealing with, for example configuration of mail systems, databases, servers installation and configuration, firewalls.


·  Experience with implementation of deployment, maintenance, support and upgrade of servers, desktop PC and Macintosh, hardware, software, operating systems and distributed printers.


·  Experience/knowledge of mobile phones and communication gadgets.


·  Experience being responsible for Linux/Windows platforms.


·  Experience with support, troubleshooting and problem resolution for tape backups.


·  Basic networking knowledge, understands basic routing and switching concepts.


·  May have some certifications (MCSE, CCNA, ITIL, etc.) or have made progress toward relevant certificates.


·  Good problem solving and communication skills; independent and autonomous.


·  Verbal and written fluency in English and Spanish.


·  Work well in a team atmosphere.


 


Duties:


· Installs, tests, troubleshoots, and maintains hardware and software products.


· Implements the deployment, maintenance, support and upgrade of desktop PCs and Macs, hardware, software, operating systems, distributed printers and communications systems.


· Facilitates backup and recovery.


· Provides technical guidance and one-to-one training to end-users.


· Processes and creates documentation according to accepted standards.


· May monitor maintenance agreements, warranties, and site licenses.


· Participates in ad-hoc projects assigned by the IT manager.


· Researches available tools and technologies to determine alternative technology solutions.         


· Maintains on-line or manual trouble logs and resolves client requests.
