Experienced Java Developer (Barcelona Center)

We are a Barcelona based tech start-up that has created a Web based product that delivers analytic tools for the hotel sector.

We are looking for Java developers with experience working on web-based projects. Must have very strong technical skills and the ability to take personal ownership over projects to deliver fast, innovative and quality technical solutions. An ideal candidate would be someone self motivated and keeps up with current trends whilst also having a deep understanding of the fundamentals of computer science. We have a great working environment and selected candidates will have the opportunity to work along side a very talented team.


Qualified candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Have completed a BS in computer science or related discipline and have at least 4 years working experience, or have a minimum of 6 years of working experience and an interesting CV
- Very strong Java skills with at least 4 years of professional experience
- At least 2 years experience working with Spring and Hibernate
- Good understanding of Javascript and professional experience building Ajax applications using Jquery other JS library
-Ability to communicate and write in english
- Be able to demonstrate key computer science concept such as concurrency, algorithms, data structures and RRDB principles
- Good knowledge of SQL and at least 2 year working with Mysql or Postgress
- 4 years experience working with Linux or other Unix variant
- Understanding and experience working with web services and web based APIs

All candidates must be prepared to demonstrate their knowledge, via and exam and or mini project, as part of the interview process.

We are offering six to eight month freelance contract with the possibility of a permanent position later on.
