Economist for Research Assistant Position (Barcelona)

FocusEconomics (www.focus-economics.com) is a leading publisher of economic intelligence reports for senior executives in multinational companies and governmental organisations.  We are currently expanding our operations and are therefore looking for full-time research assistants.

Would you like to join a young and dynamic team as a research assistant for Emerging Market publications?  Key activities include economic analysis and statistics elaboration for economies in Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe.

Candidate should have finished a degree in economics and should have a solid background in macroeconomics.  The position requires excellent writing and communication skills in English.  Ability to meet strict deadlines is essential.  Good analytical skills and first professional experiences are a plus.  The research assistant must have sound knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel.  Knowledge of MS FrontPage and Adobe Pagemaker/InDesign is a plus.  Creativity in internet research is indispensable.

Requirements:

- Degree in economics

- Solid background in macroeconomics

- Excellent writing skills in English

- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel

- Ability to meet strict deadlines

- Basic knowledge of MS FrontPage and Adobe Pagemaker/InDesign is a plus.
